Busser Position

Typical Functions

  • Maintaining beverage station by restocking cups, ice, and dispensers.
  • Assists food servers in their tasks.
  • Cordially greets members and guests; calls them by name if known.
  • Serves water as guests are seated.
  • Assists in carrying food trays to tables.
  • Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing area.
  • Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen.
  • Sets tables with silverware, glassware, and clean linen.
  • Follow all proper cleaning and sanitation requirements
  • Maintains clean floors in the dining room throughout food service.
  • Stocks server’s station with supplies.
  • Collects trash from dining room, grill room, and other specified areas after each serving period.
  • Returns equipment to its proper place.
  • Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Maintain professional hygiene and appearance.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the Supervisor or the Human Resources Department.
  • Must perform all work functions in accordance with the San Felipe Pueblo Enterprise Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six (6) months experience in food preparation in a restaurant, kitchen or dining area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work is performed in the kitchen area with exposure to heat, fumes and steam. Lifting large hot and cold trays required with lifting up to 25 pounds. Prolonged standing and walking is required.

Incumbents in this position must be able to understand auditory messages and non-verbal cues to derive meaning from spoken material. Requires the ability to remain attentive.
