Cashier Part Time – Travel Center

Incumbents in this position are responsible for greeting San Felipe Travel Center customers, calculating item sales, and returning correct change.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 months cashier/cash handling experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Maintenance Technician –
Travel Center

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Summary: Incumbent in this position is responsible for the cleaning and maintaining the appearance of San Felipe Casino interior and exterior areas by performing custodial maintenance duties including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms.

All San Felipe Casino employees must be able to develop a clear understanding of customers’ needs and goals while maintaining clear communication with customer regarding meeting their expectations. He/she must follow though and respond to customers’ requests and inform them of action taken in a courteous, professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works independently and achieves daily tasks to standards.
  • Helps customers when asked.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Vacuum carpets.
  • Clean restrooms and restock paper and soap supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment.
  • Empty trash receptacles and ashtrays and bag trash for proper disposal.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Perform all work activities in accordance with Casino safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the Supervisor or the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

One (1) year custodial experience preferred. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds on a regular basis and sustain prolonged walking and standing. Extended working hours, including weekends, may be required. Must possess Class III Gaming License.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Security Officer – Casino/Slot Stop

POSITION TITLE:    SECURITY OFFICER

BASIC PURPOSE:

This is an entry-level position where the incumbent receives formal and on-the-job training in security procedures, duties and procedures relating to the protection, safeguarding, and security of Black Mesa Casino assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Observe casino operations for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by employees or patrons, using visual observation, audio/video equipment when available.
  • Report all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally, or in writing.
  • Provide oversight and security for large currency transportation.
  • Patrol allocated areas as directed, which includes the outside perimeter.
    • On foot or company vehicle (must be insured by company)
  • Work as a team with other security officers, staff, and departments.
  • Maintain logs and/or records of activity during the scheduled shifts.
  • Provide assistance and/or information to Casino guests and others when necessary.
  • Enforce Black Mesa Casino employee badge procedures, Security Standard Operating Procedures as well as Black Mesa Casino Handbook.
  • Maintain professional hygiene and appearance in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Server – Travel Center

BASIC PURPOSE:

To serve the guests food, drinks and snacks. Shall represent the San Felipe Travel Center in a professional and exemplary manner and promote the success of the San Felipe Travel Center to guests, staff and any other parties.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintaining beverage station by restocking cups, ice, and dispensers.
  • Responsible for serving the guest’s food, drinks and snacks while providing exemplary service.
  • Must demonstrate fiscal responsibility by providing proper change to guests and accurately completing end of shift paperwork.
  • Complete all side work and maintain par levels of condiments and paper products in work areas.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and servers daily events and specials.
  • Wipe and buss dining tables and chairs.
  • Empty trash.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Know the menu to include, pricing and ingredients.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Daily side-work (vacuum, sanitize table and chairs, fill salt & pepper, and other assigned duties)
  • Maintain professional hygiene and appearance.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the Supervisor or the Human Resources Department.
  • Must perform all work functions in accordance with the San Felipe Pueblo Enterprise Safety Policies and Procedures.

  • Work is performed in the kitchen area with exposure to heat, fumes and steam. Lifting large hot and cold trays required with lifting up to 25 pounds. Prolonged standing and walking is required.
